Best eco home sponsored by Kaldewei. Our judges were looking to reward homes that make a minimal impact upon the environment, but designs that would also appeal to a large number of people. In addition to an overall ecological strategy homes also had to clearly perform in three of the following areas: super- high levels of insulation; building materials that were from particularly sustainable sources; energy-miserly heating and cooling systems; renewable energy; or water-saving technology.
All these projects mix committed sustainability and exciting aesthetics. The judges felt that the winner is a great prototype for urban living ,an effective solution for an urban family home, and good value for money.
